Community Institute for Psychotherapy’s second annual fund raising benefit, Loving Spoonfuls:
Marin’s Soup and Dessert —and Appetizer—Challenge will welcome foodies of all ages to
sample and savor, and then cast their votes for the People’s Choice Awards on Saturday, January
28, from 12 noon to 3 pm at the Mill Valley Community Center (180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley).
Tickets for this fun and scrumptious event are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and children
under 12 are free. Proceeds support CIP’s sliding scale services for families, adults, and children.

Seventeen challengers, including some of Marin’s finest restaurants, will compete for two
awards categories, the People’s Choice and Expert Judges Awards. In addition to the People’s
Choice Awards for Best Soup, Best Dessert, and this year’s special challenge, Marin’s Best
Appetizer, foodie experts Anna Haight (Marin IJ Bread & Butter Columnist), Leslie Harlib
(Restaurant Review Critic) & Brigitte Moran (Executive Director of Marin Farmers Market) will
announce their favorites. Celebrated Bay Area film critic Jan Wahl will emcee the event.
Among the restaurants and participating corporate sponsors vying for this year’s awards are: A
